Description

Aesthetic movement, one of a set of two in Minton Hollins Birds Series featuring warblers and branches with flowers.

Context

These tiles were from the library fireplace in the Goldthwaite-Viser house (Nicholas Clayton, architect, circa 1870) in Galveston's Silk Stocking National Historic District. At some point prior to the Great Storm (or because of it), this tile replaced the first ones.
