This is an antique photograph taken by Rust Studio of Beeville Texas. It was the photographic studio of Jennie Rust- Dugat, and the subject was her father-in law Judge William Stanford Dugat, the father of Sidney Dugat, Jennie's husband (after 1905, but I'm not sure when the photo was taken). The judge was born, (1840), in Liberty County Texas during the days of the Republic of Texas. He served as an officer with the Confederacy during the War Between the States. Later he moved his family to Bee County where he became County Attorney, and later county judge. He and his wife lived on St Marys Street. I have a picture of the house in another auction. The card measures 5" x 7".Context
