A fabulous set by famed Texas maker R. F. Ford. Large 3 dimensional American Buffalo heads mounted over engraved silver overlays. The spurs have 1" band with 2 1/4" sweeping arrow shanks holding a 1 1/2 sawtooth rowel. They are double mounted with the offside mounted with a full Buffalo profile, the strap buttons have arrowhead overlaid design. The buckles on the marked Liz Ford straps continue the matching Buffalo motif. They are marked R. F. Ford / San Angelo TX. No. 1706. The matching bit marked 472 shows a little use and is much earlier. The basket stamped bridle is covered with buffalo heads and a rope edged buffalo skull on the rosettes. Dimensions: 24" L.Category
