Photograph of a man in uniform printed on postcard stock, which was a type of photographic paper commonly available to studios in the early days of photography. It was found among the old photos of Rust Studio in Beeville. In the collection of old pictures that Miss Rust's family provided for sale were a lot of portraits she had taken, but also several taken by Louis dePlanque. They were stamped on back with his name and logo, and one of them gave his location as "Corpus Christi and Beeville". dePlanque died in 1898, and Jennie Rust came to Beeville about 3 yrs later and opened Rust Studio, (reportedly in a facility that had been vacated by another photographer).Category
