Button dates from 1700 to 1785.
The button is hand cast, has a slight concave reverse with a beveled edge, is made of copper alloy, and has an integral shank with drilled eyelet.
Context
These buttons were used by Spanish Colonial Militia. This button was recovered from St. Augustine.
