Context
Texas' Lone Star identity was formed during the Texas Revolution. This hat star was made to be worn by a Texas Army soldier, and believed to have been manufactured of scrap copper pieces used to sheath the Texas Navy ships in the Algiers Shipyard, New Orleans, Louisiana.
