A shoulder pin with a straight fouled anchor. Above the anchor is "TEXAS" and below the anchor is "MARINE CORPS." Incuse and made of copper.
This piece is missing the five-pointed star above the anchor.
Context
This shoulder pin was made to be worn by a senior enlisted Texas Marine, and believed to have been manufactured of scrap copper pieces used to sheath the Texas Navy ships in the Algiers Shipyard, New Orleans, Louisiana.
