An interlocking belt buckle. The tongue is engraved with T-E-X-A-S in the points and a five-pointed star above a straight fouled anchor. Hand fabricated and made of gold and coin silver.
Context
Texas' Lone Star identity was formed during the Texas Revolution. This belt buckle was made to be worn by a Texas Marine officer, and believed to have been handmade of melted gold and silver coins and/or scrap gold and silver pieces in Quintana, Texas.
