Name/Title
Bernstein Incandescent Lamp with Schaefer BaseEntry/Object ID
2016.10.10Description
This incandescent lamp makes use of a round-profile carbonized braided material as used by Bernstein (as opposed to the more flat profile of similar lamps by the Heisler Electric Light Co.) and green/blue glass stem, as used by both Bernstein and Heisler. The presence of a Schaefer system base is unusual for a Bernstein or Heisler series burning lamp, though the lamp appears to be unmodified. This lamp shares similarities with Frederick Schaefer's patent 339,218.Made/Created
