Description
Edison lamp with two coiled filaments wired in series. Filaments of carbonized bamboo. While based as a standard production lamp, there is no evidence to suggest that coiled filament lamps of this form were produced for sale. By the mid 188-'s the Edison Lamp Works produced a coiled bamboo filament known as a "night light". One filament detached but present in complete form within the envelope.
