Edison incandescent lamp with interchangeable base design that allows the lamp to fit in Edison, Westinghouse, and Thomson-Houston sockets, via a threaded removable pin. This base was marketed for a breif period of about 1890-1891. Base shell crimped at the top to reduce the opening size, and the base is plated with a zinc-like coating, which is present on all of the new known examples of this base. The oval label on the crown of the envelope is not known to be a factory marking.Made/Created
