Westinghouse Stopper lamp with evidentiary note attached. This lamp was tagged by Sherburne Eaton and Eugene Lewis, patent attorney sof Edison's during the Edison lamp patent trials. The Westinghouse stopper lamp was manufactured in an effort to avoid infringing on Edison's lamp patents. This example exhibits an atypical white "milk glass" glass stopper, as opposed to the typical clear glass. This example is fitted with a removable adaptor to allow the Stopper-type base to be attached to a typical Westinghouse-type socket.Made/Created
