Description

Most Ashkenazi amulets of this time period were either written on paper/parchment or printed, making this metal piece unusual. It was probably used for Brit Milah or Pidyon Ha-Ben ceremonies. Inscription: “May this boy grow up for the Torah, the Chupa, and for good deeds.” back: “Save the children of the people of Israel from the evil eye and from sickness and watch over them. Amen.”
