Miriam's timbrel goes to ground like Miriam's wells.
File includes image of item and description.
"Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women went out after her in dance with timbrels."
(Exodus 15, 20)
Artist statement: The design shows the timbrel that was used while dancing after crossing the Red Sea and singing Shirat Hayam (Song of the Sea). The cup passes through the timbrel like a well that goes into ground. Miriam was called a prophetess because she knew where to locate underground water during their travel in the desert. When shaking the cup, sounds of the joy are heard. (via avi-biran.co.il)Made/Created
