This photo is 3.5 x 5 inches big. This photo was taken by Dale Howard. Dale was from Saint Anthony, Idaho. He had come up from South Dakota where he taught school. He was one Spring Break when he was touring the Teton Dam when he took this set of photos of the dam breaking. He was with his family at the time. His photos were later featured in the Time Magazine Our Next President (Pick One) dated June 21, 1976. The article containing Dale Howard's photos starts on page 56 titled 'Teton: Eyewitness to Disaster'.
This photo is in color and shows the dam just beginning to give way to all that water.
