Birch Rental Building. Note reads: When we first passed the restaurant, our hearts sank, the front windows were broken out. Chairs that had broken out the front windows were still sticking out of the building on the outside. So much to do, where to start first? With so much of our personal belongings involved it was a week before we returned to the rental building. The picture of the front of the building shows an ice cream carton and one of the chairs lodged in the front door.
Clean-up was long and tedious, taking weeks, without all the outside of Rexburg help coming to lend a hand, I doubt we would have had the strength to complete the task at hand.
After about 2 months the restaurant was reconstructed into "Canned Foods". It was one of the first businesses in to open after the devastating flood. -- Sharon Hinkley
