Teton Dam Scrapbook Flamm FurnitureDescription
Flamm Furniture note:
Flamm Furniture in Rexburg began construction of a new 30,000 square food building. The all new facility will house the long-established business currently located at 11 West Main Street.
Beginning in 1886, Flamm Furniture has been known for more than 90 years as a full service, customer-oriented firm. In keeping with this tradition, the new building is being constructed to offer customers the newest and most efficient atmosphere to shop for home furnishings.
The building is 100' wide and s50 deep, with 2 levels. The structure is reinforced concrete, concrete block and trus-joist roof and floor systems. The facade offers a crisp, contemporary design. Interior areas are oriented into room-size spaces to display various pieces of furniture and accessories as they may be arranged in a home. A unique lighting system will illuminate the vignettes in such a manner as to accent the furniture on display.
Also included are areas for appliance demonstrations and sales, drapery displays, carpet displays, paint and wall coverings, matresses and foundations, and a children's play area.
To the rear of the store a large shipping and receiving area will make deliveries and storage more efficient. Also, for the convenience of customers, a large off-street parking area is included.
Jim and Daryl Flamm, owners of Flamm Furniture, have installed a parking area lot in front of the store and to the side of the store, where a separate entrance is readily available for customer convenience.
