Teton Dam Scrapbook Heritage Homes

Description

Heritage Homes of Idaho Washout and Remodeling. Note reads: Heritage Homes of Idaho were only about a block from the Teton River, and consequently sustained much damage. Many logs from nearby Lumber Companies battered the building mercilessly. All the doors and lower windows were washed out and had to be replaced, it washed their fences out, and these had to be replaced. Before they could start work on their own building or anyone elses, they had to have all their electric motors rewired and reboarded. It was necessary to remodel the front and back of the building. The remaining exterior was removed, except for the bracing, and it was rebuilt in order to be usable. It was completely repainted outside and in. The rebuilt building is very usable and efficient. It is indeed an asset to Rexburg.
