Teton Dam Scrapbook Dr. Barton JensenDescription
Dr. Barton Jensen note reads:
What a surprise for us to drive into Rexburg that evening after being away, to find our new office of 13 months so damaged. Our builder had no idea a new building such as ours, could be so devastated. Actually it was built well, the water could not go through thus when the basement filled up, the building was raised from its foundation, floated to the side, settled collapsed.
After much advice from our former contractor it was thought best to move the building back on its foundation. We then proceeded to move what remaining brick there was, remove walls, repair studs, salvage roof and go from there.
Our building was replaced as it had been before the flood, and Dr. Jensen was practicing optometry in it Dec. 5th of that same year. Landscaping was added the following spring.
