After the June 5th flood our office was closed entirely for 2 weeks, and then opened on only a limited basis. We had six volunteers working 12-16 hours a day for the full 2 weeks making it possible for us to re-open. The water mark on the building was about 3 1/2 feet high and had t be cleaned off by special high pressure brick cleaners. I have in the past purchased homes for rent, but this is the first time I have had one delivered to me. This home floated in from its foundation 2 1/2 blocks away, through a city park and onto our parking lot. There is a large picturesque rock near our entrance which the house hit, swirled back toward the street, tipping over a large rock sign at our corner, and parking against a tree, tearing our shrubs and plants up on the way. One interesting thing was that the house took such a smooth ride the breakfast dishes were still on the table when it parked.
