AN ADDITION to the Museum of Transport on Barrett Station road, this "Mikado" style steam engine was presented to the museum by the Chicago and Illinois Midland Railway. Inspecting the iron giant at Union Station are, from left, Dr. John P. Roberts, president of the museum; Arthur Atkinson, president of Wabash Railroad; Mayor lucker; Luman Mat-thews, St. Louis County Supervisor, and Mervin E. Gustaveson, vice president, operations, of the Chicago and Illinois Midland Railway. The engine was built in 1928, but was retired as the railroad embarked on a dieselization program.
