I have always been drawn toward mid-1920's Art Deco architecture's strong geometric statements and the impressive majesty created by these structures. Their simplicity and repetition of pattern translates well to bold quilt patterns.

Machine piecing and quilting. 1/4 inch bias "leading" to mimic the actual structural support in this dome.. Quilt is finished with a facing to mimic the 1/4 inch bias used in the quilt.
