I have always been fascinated by Art Deco style architecture and I love to read. I was also Inspired by women of the 20's who were embracing new freedoms and expressing themselves in public. The theme brought to my mind the Empire State Building, and with that thought, I merged my original inspirations into a "stage" setting for a Roaring 20's Flapper. I used my passion for quilting to put the twist on Grandmother's Fan to shine "spotlights" on the Flapper, along with my quilting to appear as light beams shining on her.
