Taiwan, a beautiful island known as "Formosa," In Formosa in the 1920s, women were granted the opportunity to embrace Western educational ideals. Sewing courses replaced traditional embroidery, and vibrant colors replaced the previous classical and subdued fashion. Life accessories were adorned with elaborate decorations.
The work features women with short hair, fitted clothing, exuding independence and confidence. The base pattern of glazed tiles symbolizes economic prosperity, while peonies represent a life of prosperity. and the golden stripes symbolize the pursuit of gorgeousness. This is my attempt to convey Taiwan in the 1920s.
