My piece is inspired by Bauhaus design of the 1920s and uses different color palettes from the era on the front and back (which is also a half log cabin because of my technique). The fringe reference in the title is literal (metallic threads) and figurative.

My deconstructed art quilt technique features a sandwich of layered fabrics (visible at the edges of each "log"), zigzag machine stitching, and intentionally raw edges and thread ends that reveal both the process and product of sewing.
