"My love of needlework and sewing began as a small child using my mother's treadle sewing machine. From making Christmas ornaments to my first formal sewing instruction to completing my first quilt in the 1970s, I have enjoyed every part of the process-- designing, choosing fabrics, stitching, and completing the projects." "As a visual person, I see quilt patterns and quilting designs everywhere that I travel. My inspiration comes from a field of flowers, clouds in the sky, or the birds in our backyard. With photography as my hobby, I am known to record hundreds of photographs during my trips to use as design sources in my work."
