Artist Commentary

"I have always been interested in the cycles of nature, the way living things change in shape and color, the way living things have different forms at birth, maturity, and senescence. The dandelion is a particularly good example. It has the added wonder of sharp, jagged leaves contrasted with its soft button flower. Best of all, its ‘white hair’ drifts away to plant itself later and begin a new cycle. Personally the dandelion is a family symbol. I have always hailed a field of yellow as one of the first joyous bursts of spring."
