"I enjoy a challenge and though my quilts typically have a historic theme, I treat the themes differently in each quilt. Wanting to make something other than the typical Wholecloth design, I was inspired by the plasterwork ceiling in Knole House in Kent, England. Creating the effect of a bas relief using raised serpentine ribs and hand embroidery highlights each floral motif in this quilt."
