"I tried to express my love of nature in this quilt. The rhythm of the seasons, the vibrant glow of autumn and its colors, the beauty of the dancing patterns of flow and change all fascinate me. This quilt marks the time when I took all that I had learned in my first three or four years of quilting and made it my own. Studying techniques and designs and practicing on my first projects brought me to the point of wanting to go on my own, to design my quilt, to do my best work and make the quilt that only I could make. Each quilt is an exciting discover of possibilities for me--in other words, big girl's play!"
