“Just before I retired in 1998, my husband bought me a Gammill longarm machine. I found my passion. I was determined to learn from each quilt I quilted so I could be the best quilter I could be. I was inspired by the quality and detail of Sharon Schambers’ workmanship. I enjoy being challenged and her work was a challenge to me. I especially admired Sharon’s Scarlet Serenade and decided to make my version of her quilt. It took me some time before I felt ready to make this quilt. I spent about three years making Autumn Serenade including just less than 300 hours of quilting."
