Phillippa decided to try a whole cloth quilt thinking it might not be quite so complicated and demanding as a pieced quilt. Flower Power is the result. "It was more difficult, I think, to do a whole cloth quilt; you have to create all the interest with just the quilting, and that isn't as simple as it sounds." Flower Power is a subtle quilt, with delicate shades of yellow, green, and orange. These shades are created solely by the quilting thread and the sun and floral machine embroidery Phillippa stitched on the white top fabric before layering the quilt together and quilting it.
