"I started quilting in 1979 when I was inspired by an applique quilt I saw in a magazine and it took 7 years to finish. I started Bed Of Peonies for the 1986 Mountain Mist contest, and finished it the day it had to be mailed in to the contest. My strong point in quilting is workmanship. I’m more comfortable adapting existing patterns than I am creating original designs."
