"As a quilter, the greatest compliment is to have someone admire your work and to inspire them to create their dreams in quilts. People quilt for many different reasons. My reason started out just as something fun to do because my husband Joe gave me a new sewing machine for Christmas, but it has evolved into a passion that runs deep in my life and defines who I am. Our life has required that we move around the country- a lot, and my husband has always worked very long hours. Being a part of the community wasn’t an option and the absence of friends and family meant that continuity in my life had to come from another source- my quilting. I learned that quilting is about so much more than quilts. The friendships made are deep and life-long."
