"When I heard the theme was "food," I immediately thought of pop art. I wanted to do an Andy Warhol inspired pop art quilt involving cake! Everybody loves cake, right?! Pop art (to me) can also have an element of surprise or humor, so I included a pair of hands with a knife and fork creeping towards the cake from below the table. I used two different curved log cabin blocks to create star and wave designs throughout the quilt."
