Claudia Dawson became interested in quilting when she was about 13 years old, as she watched her mother make quilts for the family’s beds.
"The first quilt I made was a Nine Patch, which I did by hand. When my sewing skills improved, I started making more and more complicated patterns. Making quilts later became a hobby that filled the time while my husband was working away from home on the railroad. This Double Wedding Ring is made with scraps I saved from my other quilts. I have never entered a contest; I’m just happy making other people happy by doing what I love to do."
