"I am very proud of this quilt, not only because these lemurs are stunning, but because it was the hardest quilt I had to make. This quilt took me two plus years to complete, through some very difficult times. I lost my mother to Alzheimer's disease and also lost some other special people in my life. But it inspired me to keep going. To me this quilt represents not only the endangered species of this beautiful planet, but also how we all endanger our relationships with each other, this earth and our creator. Beauty results when we work through life's challenges and don't give up on it.
