"This quilt is a wildlife enthusiast’s dream. Depicted are fifteen different species of waterfowl at rest among cattails in rippling water. Each bird was carefully researched and designed as true to nature as possible. We both began sewing in our teenage years. In 1980, after a long fascination with and appreciation for wildlife, the two of us, sisters-in-law, began searching for realistic waterfowl patterns for projects for our homes. When we could find none, we decided to try our hand at designing. The results were rewarding."
