“Quilting is what I do!” remarks Jane. “It has everything I like to do in one activity – color selections, designing, sewing, mathematical precision in templates and the quilting stitch as bas relief. It is truly addicting and my obsession. My work begins with the quilt blocks created and named by quilters of the past. This quilt manipulates the traditional Queen Charlotte’s Crown block, adds plain blocks and appliqué, and lets color do the rest. If my work looks traditional to some and contemporary to others, I have achieved the blending of old and new which is my goal.”
