"Pineapples are the symbol for hospitality. I have some wonderful friends who lived on Oahu for many years and would invite us to stay at their house. When we would visit, we would go to the Dole Pineapple Plantation and get Dole Whip and disappear (and occasionally get lost) in the pineapple maze. There is nothing better on a hot summer day than a great big piece of juicy pineapple shared with family and friends. "Hala Kahiki Momona" basically means juicy pineapple."
