"This traditional Lone Star pattern quilt was inspired by many antique Amish and Mennonite quilts. The colors and fabrics are ones I love, and ones that reflect the changing hues of the seasons in the Kettle Moraine area of Wisconsin where I live. The khaki background seemed to make the star glow. The quilt took me about two months from start to finish and was a pleasure all along the way. My quilts are the quilts of today, using today's tools, a "new" tradition, but honoring and reflecting quilts of the past."
