"My favorite creative outlet is quiltmaking, and I find a special joy in working with traditional patterns. I chose the Carolina Lily pattern for this special quilt made to honor my 20th wedding anniversary. The Carolina Lily block has much design potential. Many traditional patterns lose their romance over the years, but 'lilies are forever.' Making this quilt has also satisfied my long-time desire to have a very romantic looking quilt. I truly love scrap quilts. The appliqué border was taken from an old traditional Amish quilting pattern. The quilting alone took over 1,500 hours to complete."
