"The traditional Snails Trail block has always reminded me of shrimp, so when I learned that this year’s theme was food, I knew I would do a seafood dinner quilt. I also wanted to use the Material Matrix technique (invented and taught to me by Sandra Bruce) in my quilt, so the search for the perfect inspiration photograph began. I found a copyright-free image of a lobster dinner designed by Freepik.com and got to work."
