"I hope to make quilts in the best tradition of the quiltmaker's art. I want the colors and the design to 'sing,' both for me and for the viewer. My quilts are most often fabric or color inspired, although sometimes I am influenced by the designs in antique quilts.
I enjoy exploring traditional patterns, especially in the Log Cabin/Pineapple family, with contemporary coloration and innovative tweaks and an occasional element of unpredictability.
The entire process of planning, designing, and constructing the quilt has a twofold meaning for me: it is a wonderfully satisfying tactile art form, and, at the same time, I have the sense of following in our foremothers' footsteps, making woman's art."
