"I began quilting in 1973 when I inherited two tops I wanted to finish. I joined the National Quilting Association to learn how and then won a ribbon in my first show. I have been making quilts ever since. My quilts have won awards in a number of contests and have appeared in several magazines. All of these opportunities have been most satisfying. President's Wreath Variation did not start out as a variation. After cutting, I discovered the pattern was mismarked so I had to make radical changes. I also added sashing and designed an original flower border."
