"I know people do connect with my quilts, but I can't say why. I like to think it's because I haven't strayed too far from tradition. I'm a use-what-you-have, create-from-scraps, repeated-geometric-pattern kind of quilter. Like legions of women before me, I like the challenge, the structure, the utility, and the artistry of quiltmaking. I love to see the delight in the eyes of others as they view my work. Each new quilt is tangible evidence that I am content doing what I do, which, I assume, is the goal of every artist."
