"When our daughters were young, I sewed for them, but as they became older, I turned to quilting and lost interest in other crafts. Quilting has given me a way to express my feelings and ideas in my handwork. I love flowers, especially roses and tulips. I do not have a flower garden myself, so all my flowers are found on my quilts. I have been quilting for fifteen years and try to quilt every day."
