"Usually my quilts are original designs or variations of traditional patterns or blocks, but this 1924 Art Deco design just screamed at me to be adapted and made into a quilt. Saturn’s Rings was not made enlarging a design and using it a as a pattern. Instead, I tore apart my kitchen looking for different size dishes and lids from my pots and pans to use as patterns for the circles. The title was inspired by all the pictures on TV of Saturn and its rings sent back by the space probe."
