"Over the years I had made a few quilts by sewing squares together or just tying two pieces of material together, but I had never made a 'real' quilt. In the fall of 1981, I was asked to piece a quilt for my church group. Now I consider myself a true 'quilt addict.' I think the thing I enjoy most of all in quilting is working with colors, making the colors work is both challenging and exciting. However, I enjoy the planning, piecing, quilting, and the association with other quilters very much. My Splendor of the Rajahs' quilt was made using a pattern from the book Curves Unlimited by Joyce M. Scholtzhauer."
