"My designs are inspired by traditional quilts. This quilt started with a challenge between friends to make a quilt from fabrics we had bought together. The pattern started with a design I came up with for a Log Cabin border. I used an uncommon traditional spiral coloring for a Log Cabin block to make the Greek Key border motif. My favorite part of quilt making is designing the blocks, settings, and pieced borders. I also take great pleasure in choosing fabric and binding the quilt."
