"This quilt was patterned after a c.1850 quilt by A. Shriver in the Smithsonian Museum. Like many of my quilts it reflects my obsession with mid-nineteenth century textiles. I quilt because I like quilts and enjoy making quilts. I choose designs and colors simply because they appeal to me, there is no deep meaning or hidden agenda, simply enjoyment."
